Gov Abiodun appoints ex-commissioner as chief of staff

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has appointed Oluwatoyin Taiwo as his new Chief of Staff.

Before this appointment, Taiwo served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the governor.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, and released to the press on Thursday.

According to the statement, Governor Abiodun officially handed over the letter of appointment to Taiwo on Wednesday. The appointment, effective from December 18, 2024, was described by the governor as “well-deserved.”

Taiwo has a distinguished career in public service, having previously served as the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism during Governor Abiodun’s first term. He was later promoted to Deputy Chief of Staff before his recent elevation to Chief of Staff.

A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Taiwo holds a B.Sc. in Statistics and has pursued further academic qualifications up to the Ph.D. level.
