A fire broke out at the Federal Institute of Industrial Research office in Oshodi, near Cappa Bus Stop, Lagos State.
According to Vanguard, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, in partnership with the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), is actively working to contain the blaze.
When questioned about the fire’s cause, a LASEMA official told Tribune Online, “Investigations are still ongoing to determine the trigger of this unfortunate incident.”
Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far. However, the fire has caused extensive damage to property, with losses running into millions of naira. Rescue operations are still underway.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation as of the time of this report.
