Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the price of petrol to N899.50 per litre, offering relief to Nigerians ahead of the Christmas and New Year holiday season.
In a statement, company spokesman Anthony Chiejina explained that the price cut aims to ease transportation costs during the festive period. This follows a previous reduction in November, when the price dropped to N970 per litre.
Additionally, Dangote Refinery is introducing a special holiday offer: for every litre of petrol purchased on a cash basis, consumers will receive an extra litre on credit, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.
The refinery, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, also expressed appreciation to Nigerians for their continued support. Chiejina reiterated the refinery’s commitment to providing high-quality, competitively priced petroleum products that are environmentally and engine-friendly, signaling an end to Nigeria’s reliance on substandard, imported fuels that have posed risks to health and machinery.
