The scheduled presentation of Nigeria’s N47.9 trillion 2025 budget by President Bola Tinubu to a joint session of the National Assembly, initially set for Tuesday, December 17, has been rescheduled to Wednesday, December 18.
Sources within the Senate confirmed the shift, with a formal announcement expected in the coming hours.
During a plenary session last Thursday, Senate President Godswill Akpabio had announced that President Tinubu intended to present the 2025 budget on December 17. He also noted that the presentation would take place in the House of Representatives Chamber, following a 10:30 am plenary where senators would gather before proceeding in procession to the chamber.
Last month, President Tinubu submitted the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper for 2025-2027 to both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
