Shettima departs Nigeria for Côte d’Ivoire

Vice President, Kashim Shettima departing Abuja for New York to attend 79th UNGA
Vice President Kashim Shettima departed Abuja for Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, on Wednesday morning to attend the opening ceremony of the International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources (SIREXE) 2024 conference.

A statement from the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications, Stanley Nkwocha, confirmed that Shettima will participate in the event, which is being organized by the Government of Côte d’Ivoire. The conference, running from November 27 to December 2, 2024, at the Abidjan Exhibition Centre, focuses on “Policies and Strategy for the Sustainable Development of the Extractive and Energy Industries.”

Invited by Côte d’Ivoire’s Vice President, Tiémoko Meyliet Koné, Vice President Shettima will use the platform to share Nigeria’s insights and experiences in the hydrocarbon exploration and production sectors.

Shettima is expected to return to Abuja later today.
