PDP governors holds emergency meeting in Abuja

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors on Tuesday evening gathered in Abuja for an emergency meeting.

It was gathered that the meeting was convened over the current crisis in Rivers State, where some members of the state house of assembly have initiated moves to impeach Sim Fubara, the governor elected on the platform of the PDP.

The PDP governors are currently at the Oyo State Governors Lodge in Abuja for the emergency meeting.

The Telegraph reports that some members of the Rivers State House of Assembly attempted to impeach Fubara between Sunday night and Monday morning.

Some of the PDP governors sighted on arrival include Fubara, Bala Mohammed, Bauchi, Caleb Muftwang, Plateau, Dauda Lawal, Zamfara, and Ahmadu Fintiri, Adamawa.

Others are Ademola Adeleke of Osun, Agbu Kefas, Taraba, Godwin Obaseki, Edo and Sheriff Oborevwori, Delta.

Members of the party’s National Working Committee, led by Acting Chairman, Iliya Damagum, have also arrived for the meeting.
