Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Francis Fadahunsi, has arrived at the Osun State Police Command headquarters in Osogbo following an invitation by the police.
Fadahunsi arrived at about 2:35 p.m. on Wednesday in the company of the Commissioner of Police in charge of election security, Samuel Erale.
The senator and Francis Eniade, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo Otin Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, came under criticism on Tuesday over alleged threats against members of the Accord Party ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
In a video circulating on social media, Fadahunsi, speaking in Yoruba, was heard allegedly threatening that any Accord Party member seen in Ilesa before Saturday’s election should be killed.
The remarks have since sparked reactions, prompting the police invitation to the senator.
