Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has surprised his wife, Chioma, with a brand-new 2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, a luxury SUV priced at over $150,000 (₦240 million) depending on specifications.
The newly released G-Wagon, which recently hit the market, features a bold new design and electric variants, representing a significant upgrade from previous models.
In a video shared via his Instagram Story on Wednesday, Davido documented the exciting moment he picked up the car, explaining that he traded in a previous model and topped up the difference to secure the latest version.
“First of all, we had to take the one I got, then obviously add more money to get the new one,” he said.
Beaming with pride, Davido added, “Only the best for my lady,” expressing his joy and motivation behind the lavish gift.
Upon receiving the G-Wagon, Chioma was visibly thrilled, while Davido hyped her reaction, exclaiming, “We do 2025!”
The gift comes just weeks after the couple’s lavish white wedding in Miami on August 10, 2025 — the final in a series of high-profile ceremonies that celebrated their union.
Their wedding journey began with a court marriage in March 2023, followed by a traditional ceremony in Lagos in June 2024. The Miami celebration, reportedly costing around $3.7 million, was a star-studded affair attended by business moguls, political elites, and entertainment heavyweights from Nigeria and beyond.
